How should a baseball cap fit?

Buying a hat online is easy once you know what a good fit feels like. Here's what to look for, and how to measure your head in about a minute.
What a good fit feels like
- Snug, not tight. It should stay put when you turn your head, without leaving a red line on your forehead.
- The brim sits just above your eyebrows. Low enough to shade your eyes, high enough to see.
- The crown sits on your head, not on top of it. If it perches high, it's too small. If it slides down over your ears, it's too big.
- One finger fits under the band. That little bit of room is what makes it comfortable all day.
How to measure your head
- Grab a soft tape measure (or a piece of string and a ruler).
- Wrap it around your head where a hat sits: just above your eyebrows and ears, around the back of your head.
- Keep it level and comfortable, not pulled tight.
- Read the number where the ends meet. Most adults land somewhere between 21.5 and 24 inches.
Why snapbacks are easy
A snapback has an adjustable strap at the back, so one hat fits a wide range of heads. You click it to the hole that feels right, and you can change it any time, like when you've had a haircut, or when you'd like it a little looser on a hot day.
How INTO hats fit
Every INTO hat is one size, with an adjustable snap at the back. It fits heads from about 22 to 25 inches around (56 to 64 cm), with a structured crown about 5 inches deep and a 3-inch brim. The full measurements are in the size guide on every hat page, like the RUN hat.
And if it's not quite right, returns are easy within 30 days while it's unworn. Here's how to keep it looking new once it's yours.
Be proud of what you're into.
